Carney’s Waste Systems serves the Sea to Sky region providing a range of services including waste removal, recycling, removal of construction and demolition debris, portable toilet rentals, septic pumping, residential garbage and recycling pickup, residential recycling depots and special events waste management.

Carney’s also manages waste and recycling facilities on behalf of local municipalities including Squamish Landfill, the Whistler and Pemberton Transfer Stations and the Whistler Compost Facility.

Started by Owen Carney in 1965 Carneys now has over 30 trucks and 70 proud employees all helping to continue providing leadership in recycling, waste reduction and waste management. We customize our services to meet the individual needs of customers in providing worry-free solutions to all their waste management needs.

Bear Smarts

Carney's Waste Systems has been named Bear Smart Business of the decade by the Whistler Bear Society for our continued efforts to bear-proof waste containment in the Sea to Sky corridor. As our corridor develops and natural bear habitat are populated and developed, human/bear conflicts have increased. We are trying to minimize those conflicts by designing and using high quality bear bins in bear hotspots. Many bears have been saved as a result of our initiatives.
