Composting
is a natural microbial process. Aerobic composting (high oxygen
environment) occurs when the right combination of carbon, nitrogen,
oxygen and water are mixed together. In our in-vessel composter, the
oxygen and water levels are controlled and recirculated within the
stainless-steel tunnels. At Carney’s Organic Recycling we ensure the
exact combination of carbon and nitrogen are blended together to
ensure an adequate process which will create a
consistent and available year round supply of soils.

Our tunnels
must be fed daily. Product entering the tunnels on day one is soil
ready for curing fourteen days later. Carney’s Organic Recycling must
have a continuous supply of readily available carbon and nitrogen in
the correct amounts. Nitrogen cannot be stored on premise.

waste.
Composting
totes - Grey – 35 and 65 gallon totes.
Compost totes accept all
organic material that is generated in a household or business. They
must be serviced at least once a week to avoid unnecessary odors.
Compost totes should be placed close to the generation of organic
waste. Full totes should be stored in an enclosure to reduce
visibility, and in consideration of bear activity, until they are
serviced and cleaned. These totes are offered on a monthly service

Land Clearing/Wood Grinding
Operations (Carbon)
Carney's
Waste Systems has a wood grinding operation. We operate a Peterson
2400 which can accommodate land clearing debris which can be ground
into 1 inch to 4 inch pieces, working at speeds up to 150 – 200 yards
per hour. Ground product can be used as hog fuel or amendment for
Carney’s Organic Recycling.
