Land is preserved by
extending the life of existing landfill sites. By increasing the volumes
of recyclables, we decrease the volumes of garbage dumped at local
landfill sites. When less land is used and polluted by landfill sites,
more land is safely available for recreation, residential homes,
business operations, and civic and community services.
Soil is a diminishing resource.
15,000 years ago a huge glacier polished the Fjord (and adjacent
granite ) we now call Howe Sound clean of organic matter. If you
live in the Sea To Sky Corridor your yard and garden will benefit
from organic mass in the form of compost for nutrients and
stability.
Carney’s Organic Recycling is proud of our top-quality locally
produced soil amendment. COR is leading our corridor, industry and
province into the future of environmental sustainability by reducing
waste, reducing methane gas emissions and air borne particulates,
closing the recycling loop, and driving local employment while
creating a nutrient-rich product for your garden.
